Aspy Jones – aka Ethan Roberts is a 20 year old with a passion for song writing and performing. His original music has a unique style influenced by a range of songwriters from many different genres and eras. His lyrics give a raw honesty about his life and emotions or the journeys of people he has made connections with.
Growing up in Gympie, Queensland, he attended the Australian Institute of Country Music whilst still in school and developed his knowledge of the industry and his love of performing. After leaving school, he wrote his first song ‘Hate my Job’ about his apprenticeship which he continuously sang around the house until his parents agreed to let him try and build a career in music. Since then he has thrown himself into every genre of music from every era to build on his song writing talents and find his sound.

Ethan regularly gigs around Gympie and the Sunshine Coast at popular venues, music festivals and community events. His covers come from his wide range of genres from his rapidly growing vinyl collection and include The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Queen, Billy Joel, Mumford & Sons, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Imagine Dragons, Dire Straits, Jack Johnson, Elvis Presley, Gorillaz, Ed Sheeran and everything in between. These great influences combine to give Ethan a set list of covers to please any audience and original music that blends in perfectly
