Inspired by inner demons Lukas Kasper paints his distinct style of monsters and subjects as a visual representation of his therapy, combining the dark and light sides of himself into a vibrant display of colours and line work.

During Rush Festival Kasper‘s art, will feature throughout the Gympie Civic Centre.

Lukas Kasper is a self taught painter/designer from Brisbane, Australia. The journey all began through skateboarding and street art. Since those early days he’s painted murals, completed artist residencies, hosted exhibitions, designed for companies & taught all through: QLD, Sydney, Melbourne, Bali, Thailand, Canada, Seattle, Las Vegas, LA, and Alaska.

The paintings, created especially for Rush incorporate his distinctive street art style and some more portrait style/realism.

‘I’ve been pushing the limits of my techniques lately to combine new techniques with old… I’m really enjoying the process and it just feels like each piece I do becomes more and more refined in that sense. I’m Sort of on a mission to combine my monsters into the real world i guess.’
